Supervisory Committee

Members of the Supervisory Committee are Non-Executive members of the Board, meaning that they can attend Board meetings but not vote.

They are not allowed to have any other role in the Credit Union. They act as the 'eyes and ears' of the members, carrying out checks each month to ensure that the Credit Union is run legally, prudently, fairly and in the best interests of its members.

The Supervisory Committee also visits Access Points from time to time to make sure all is well and to pick up good practice which can be applied throughout the County.

Supervisory Committee Profiles

  • Supervisory Chair
  • Janice Webb
  • After working in Housing, I ran my own research company for over 16 years, specialising in evaluating community based projects for Central and Local Government. I have been involved in the Credit Union movement for over 20 years, helping to set up a Credit Union in Nottingham before moving to Lincolnshire in 1996. Since retiring, I have been able to devote more time to ensuring Lincup is run within the law and regulations and in the best interest of its members. In addition to Credit Union work, I volunteer in Grantham in various ways, from helping to run a children's group to archive work and researching family history.
  • Supervisory
  • Susan Stagg
  • I had my own business for 9 years, so am aware of finance, marketing, presentations and other requirements necessary for  a successful enterprise. I also have been a volunteer at the CAB for 8 years, learning about the importance of helping people in the right way, with confidentiality and accurate current advice paramount. I also worked as a retail volunteer with the National Trust which needed different skills. My work on the Supervisory Committee calls on all these skills so I feel that my past experience has been relevant and useful.
  • Supervisory
  • Jeanne Greenwood
  • I am the newest member of the Supervisory Committee. I have been involved in community and voluntary groups for many years, particularly in the village where I live. LincUp has a very important part to pay in helping to fight Financial Exclusion and I have every confidence that strong leadership and good governance are vital.
